Dai Houliang, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation Group, stated that in 2026, the Tali Mu 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project in Dushanzi Petrochemical Plant of China Petroleum will be fully completed and put into operation. The project has achieved a domestication rate of over 98% for its equipment, with significant equipment such as ethylene reactors and extrusion granulators being domestically produced for the first time. The project adopts a green production and utilization model of "blue hydrogen to blue ammonia + carbon dioxide to urea", striving to create a petrochemical zero-carbon park. It will resolutely play the role of a pillar in ensuring energy supply security. It will vigorously promote domestic oil and gas exploration, development, and reserves production, accelerate the shale oil and gas revolution, and strengthen the foundation for ensuring national energy security based on domestically-sourced resources. It will deepen international energy cooperation, continuously promote the construction of overseas energy production and supply bases, improve trade supply security, and establish a solid, diversified, and stable energy supply pattern.
