Recently, according to the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Astronomical Observatory of China, a research team led by the Purple Mountain Observatory and composed of multiple domestic and international research institutions has made an important breakthrough using China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) - for the first time internationally capturing the detailed evolution process of a drastic change in the Faraday rotation measure of repeated Fast Radio Bursts, followed by a subsequent decrease. This unique discovery provides the strongest observational evidence to date for the hypothesis that Fast Radio Bursts originate from binary star systems. The related research results were published online on January 16th in the top international academic journal "Science."
