The U.S. Treasury Department announced new sanctions on Iran.

On January 15th, local time, the US Department of the Treasury announced sanctions on multiple individuals and entities in Iran, as well as several foreign companies associated with Iran. The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, was included in the sanctions list. In addition, the US Treasury Department also designated 18 individuals and entities, stating that they were involved in the export of Iranian oil and petrochemical products.
