SK On presents key plan for commercialization of solid-state silicon negative electrode batteries.
SK On announced that it has jointly developed a new type of bonding material "PPMA" for silicon negative electrodes with a team of professors from Yonsei University, Zheng Yoon-sik, and Kim Jung-hun. According to the introduction, this material has both conductivity and strong adhesive properties, effectively improving the structural stability of silicon negative electrode all-solid-state batteries. SK On has applied the new bonding agent to silicon negative electrode all-solid-state batteries and achieved stable operation under pressure conditions close to actual usage. Currently, SK On is accelerating the preparation work for mass production of solid-state batteries.
