The Beijing Municipal Committee held a meeting to discuss the fixed asset investment plan for 2026 and the economic and social development work in the first quarter.
On the morning of January 15th, the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee held a meeting to convey and study the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and to discuss the implementation of the opinions in our city. They also discussed the "Beijing 2026 Party Consultation Plan", "Beijing 2026 Fixed Asset Investment Control Ideas and Suggestions for the Arrangement of Municipal Government Investment and Key Projects", "Beijing 2026 Annual Construction Land Supply Plan", "Beautiful Beijing Construction 2026 Action Plan", and the economic and social development work for the first quarter of our city. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Yin Li.
The meeting emphasized the need to play a key role in investment, strengthen the drive of major projects, optimize the implementation of "two heavy" projects, and solidly build project reserves. Focusing on developing new productive forces, advancing urban renewal, filling infrastructure gaps, accelerating the development of key areas, promoting improvements in people's livelihoods and consumption upgrades, the meeting aimed to expand effective investment, stimulate the vitality of private investment. It emphasized the intensive and efficient utilization of land resources, adhering to planning guidance, adhering to the bottom line of construction land scale, further optimizing spatial and functional order, and ensuring the landing of major projects. Properly handling the relationship between people and the city, the meeting stressed the importance of focusing on the needs of the masses and enterprises, using urban renewal as an important lever to strengthen precise allocation of spatial resources, functional complexity, and quality improvement, and to create a livable and modernized people-oriented city. All districts and departments are required to strengthen coordination, form a unified force, establish a list-based and project-based promotion mechanism, timely solve problems and bottlenecks, and ensure the smooth completion of the tasks for the whole year.
