Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) announced on Thursday that its fourth quarter net profit increased by 35% year-on-year, setting a new record and surpassing market expectations. This was mainly attributed to the surge in demand for semiconductors related to artificial intelligence applications. TSMC's clients include companies such as Nvidia and Apple.
