At 5:20 p.m. Eastern Time on the 14th, the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft carrying four astronauts departed from the International Space Station and began its journey back to Earth. These four astronauts were part of the 11th crewed mission of the NASA and SpaceX collaboration. Due to a health issue with one of the crew members on the mission team, NASA decided to arrange for their early return to Earth. The spacecraft is scheduled to splash down in the waters near California at 3:41 a.m. on the 15th after approximately 10 hours of flight. The four returning astronauts are American astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Russian astronaut Oleg Artemyev. They arrived at the International Space Station aboard the Crew Dragon on August 2nd of last year, originally planning to stay for about 6 months.
