The Danish Ministry of Defense confirmed the reinforcement of troops on Greenland Island.

The Danish Ministry of Defence issued a statement on the 14th, stating that as the geopolitical tension has spread to the Arctic region, the Danish Ministry of Defence and the autonomous government of Greenland have decided to strengthen the training activities of the Danish armed forces on Greenland. Starting today, Denmark will expand its military presence on Greenland and its surrounding areas. The statement mentioned that the 2026 training activities may include guarding key infrastructure, assisting local law enforcement agencies such as the Greenland Police, hosting allied forces, deploying fighter jets in Greenland and its surrounding areas, and conducting maritime operations.
