In 2025, the overall trend of major forestry pests nationwide is a reduction in disaster severity.
Reporters learned from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration that by 2025, the total area of major forestry pest disasters in the country will be 143 million mu, showing an overall trend of reduced disasters. Among them, the rapid spread of pine wilt disease has been effectively controlled, and the overall goal of the national epidemic prevention and control campaign during the "14th Five-Year Plan" has been fully achieved. In the future, the forestry and grassland departments will promote the effective control of other forestry pests through measures such as improving technological support and targeted guidance in key areas, driven by a new round of action against pine wilt disease.
