Huawei phones will return to the number one spot in the Chinese market in 2025.

On January 14th, IDC released a report stating that by the year 2025, the top five brands in terms of smartphone shipments in the Chinese market will be Huawei, Apple, vivo, Xiaomi, and OPPO, with Honor dropping out of the top five. In the full year of 2025, the total shipment volume of smartphones in the Chinese market is expected to be around 285 million units, a decrease of 0.6% compared to the previous year. Faced with the expected significant increase in storage prices, the cost pressure on smartphone manufacturers will further intensify, and the industry predicts that the shipment volume of smartphones in the Chinese market in 2026 may show a noticeable decline.
