Our country independently developed and launched the world's largest diameter vertical shaft drilling machine, "Qiming".

According to the National Railway Administration, on January 13th, China's self-developed "Qiming" tunnel boring machine with the world's largest diameter officially started its journey and entered the construction of the No. 2 vertical shaft of the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel. The No. 2 vertical shaft is located in Fuqiao Town, Taicang, Jiangsu Province, only 200 meters away from the south bank of the Yangtze River. At the same time, the "Leading" shield machine has already excavated over 10,000 meters at the bottom of the Yangtze River. It is expected that by the end of this year, the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel will be fully connected.
