Guangxi allocates 237 million yuan in winter and spring assistance funds to ensure the public stays warm during the winter.

According to the Emergency Management Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in order to do a good job in temporary living difficulties assistance in winter and spring of 2025 to 2026, the Autonomous Region Emergency Management Department and the Finance Department recently issued 237 million yuan in central and autonomous region temporary living difficulties assistance funds to ensure that disaster-affected people can spend a warm winter. This distribution work focuses on heavily affected areas and key areas for rural revitalization, benefiting a total of 1.132 million people. The person in charge of the Autonomous Region Emergency Management Department introduced that emergency departments at all levels in Guangxi will scientifically refine assistance plans in accordance with the principles of "classified assistance, targeted assistance, and precise assistance", strengthen fund supervision, and resolutely prevent fund interception, misappropriation, delayed distribution, unused sedimentation, and over-expenditure beyond the scope or standards. Next, the Emergency Management Department of the Autonomous Region will work with relevant departments to carry out inspection and supervision to ensure that funds are distributed to disaster-affected people in a timely manner in accordance with policies. In addition, Guangxi continues to organize the recovery and reconstruction of houses damaged by disasters, helping disaster-affected people rebuild their homes. According to statistics, as of the end of December 2025, a total of 3,771 households in the region needed to rebuild or repair damaged houses due to disasters, of which 2,896 households have been completed, with a completion rate exceeding 70%.
