The State Council Information Office held a press conference at 10:00 am on January 14th. Wang Jun, Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs, stated that the "new content" and "green content" of foreign trade continue to increase. Over the past five years, the annual average growth rate of high-tech product imports and exports has been 7.9%. By 2025, the year-on-year growth rate is expected to further accelerate to 11.4%, contributing nearly 60% to the overall growth of foreign trade. The export scale of "new three" products such as electric vehicles, photovoltaic products, and lithium batteries is expected to reach nearly 1.3 trillion yuan by 2025, an increase of 3.5 times compared to 2020. New business models are thriving, with cross-border e-commerce imports and exports estimated to reach 2.75 trillion yuan in 2025, a 69.7% increase from 2020 according to preliminary customs statistics.
