The American Federation of Teachers announced on Tuesday that they will be exiting Tesla CEO Elon Musk's social media platform X, citing the platform's production and dissemination of various "disgusting" pornographic images. AFT President Randi Weingarten stated in an interview that since Musk took over X in 2022, the website has been under attack by extremists and online trolls. Recently, unauthorized photos of women and children wearing bikinis or underwear generated by X's chatbot Grok have flooded the site, making it unusable. The American Federation of Teachers represents 1.8 million education workers and is one of the largest unions in the United States, and their X account will be closed on Wednesday.
