According to reports released by the Kazakh news agency today, on January 10, the Russian "Victory Airlines" flight PBD997 from Moscow Vnukovo Airport to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, had a dangerous encounter in the Chimkent airspace control center responsibility zone in Kazakhstan with the Uzbekistan Airlines flight UZB9609 from Tashkent to Moscow. The incident was classified as a "serious aviation event" by the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications, and a special committee will be established to investigate.
