Malaysia will take legal action against X platform regarding issues of user safety.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) issued a statement on January 13, stating that legal action will be taken against Elon Musk's X platform for failing to ensure the safety of Malaysian users when using Grok. MCMC announced that legal proceedings will soon be initiated against X company and Musk's artificial intelligence startup company xAI. The commission stated that they are working closely with the Malaysian Ministry of Communications to address this issue. Earlier on January 11, MCMC issued a ban on access to Grok, the chatbot of Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI, due to its misuse in generating pornographic, inappropriate, and unauthorized altered images.
