On January 13, the spot price of lithium carbonate continued to rise.
The price index of battery-grade lithium carbonate is 160,975 yuan per ton, an increase of 8,512 yuan per ton compared to the previous working day; the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate is 155,000-164,000 yuan per ton, with an average price of 159,500 yuan per ton, an increase of 7,500 yuan per ton compared to the previous working day; the price of industrial-grade lithium carbonate is 152,000-160,000 yuan per ton, with an average price of 156,000 yuan per ton, an increase of 7,500 yuan per ton compared to the previous working day. After the opening of the main lithium carbonate futures contract today, the price continued its strong trend, rising sharply by 11.99%, with prices reaching the limit of 174,060 yuan per ton. From the actual transaction situation, the rapid increase in lithium carbonate prices has led to a differentiation in the willingness of upstream shipments: some lithium salt factories are holding a cautious selling attitude, while others are actively quoting prices, some even higher than the current spot transaction level. Downstream material factories generally have a weaker acceptance of current prices and are more cautious in their attitude; however, companies supported by just-in-time purchasing are still inquiring and closing deals in the market, which continues to drive spot prices higher in the market.
