Tianjin will have comprehensive coverage of 5G signals in key locations this year.

By the end of 2025, Tianjin will have built more than 86,000 5G base stations, exceeding the goals set for the 14th Five-Year Plan period. The broadband download speeds of fixed and mobile networks will remain at the forefront nationwide. The penetration rate of 5G personal users will exceed 90%, with an annual increase of over 12 percentage points. According to the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Tianjin will launch a "signal upgrade" action for 5G this year, achieving deep coverage in key areas such as urban subways, residential communities, and commercial buildings. By combining the characteristics of 5G-A technology, the city will accelerate the commercial deployment of 5G-A networks in key areas, and systematically promote the evolution of 5G networks to 5G-A.
