Trade giant wants to sell Venezuelan oil to major Asian buyers.

The Vitol Group and the Trafigura Group have started negotiations with large refineries regarding the potential sale of Venezuelan crude oil. In the past few days, these two trading giants have already received preliminary approval from the US government for the sale of Venezuelan crude oil. According to sources familiar with the matter, over the weekend these two traders have contacted major buyers in Asia. Because they are not authorized to speak publicly, the sources have requested anonymity. They added that the negotiations are still in the early stages and no formal offers have been made yet.
