Australian Prime Minister Albanese announced on the 12th that the federal parliament will reconvene early next week to consider new legislation to combat anti-Semitism, hatred, and extremism. Albanese stated at a press conference held that afternoon that the federal House and Senate will reconvene on the 19th and 20th of this month, significantly earlier than the originally scheduled date of February 2nd.
