Energy singularity has developed a 20 Tesla pure conduction-cooled high-temperature superconducting magnet.
On January 12th, according to news from Energy Quanta, the pure NbTi superconducting magnet with a cold structure developed independently by Energy Quanta was successfully energized to 20.8 Tesla and safely demagnetized after stable operation for 150 minutes. The magnet is made up of 20 single coils with an outer diameter of 120mm and winding diameter of 30mm. It operates in a pure NbTi cold structure without insulation. The initial temperature of the magnet during operation is 10K, and the temperature rise is kept within 5K throughout the energization process. This magnet and related technologies will be applied to the commercial-grade material performance measurement platform independently developed by Energy Quanta, including comprehensive physical property measurement systems and critical current high field angle dependency measurement systems.
