Republican Senator Paul criticizes Trump again: Threatening Greenland with force will only backfire.

According to the American Broadcasting Company, Republican Senator Rand Paul said on a media program on January 11th local time that Trump's "degrading" use of military threats against Greenland will only backfire, causing some Republicans and Greenland residents to feel resentful. "If you want to buy Greenland, I do not deny that this may be something we might want," Paul said on the program, "but to achieve this goal, we must not anger or degrade the people living there, or adopt a tactic of claiming 'if you don't sell the island to us, we will send in the Marines to forcibly occupy it.' This will only make them less willing to sell the land to us."
