The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) initiates commercial trial of satellite internet of things (IoT) services.

At the 2025 China "5G+" Industrial Internet Conference, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially launched the commercial trial of China's satellite IoT business. The trial period is two years, aiming to enrich the supply of satellite communication market through the commercial trial of satellite IoT business, to support the safe and healthy development of emerging industries such as commercial aerospace and low-altitude economy.
