Major stock indices in Europe closed down across the board.

The European Stoxx 600 index fell by 0.36%, the European Stoxx index fell by 0.74%, and the Eurozone blue-chip stock index fell by 0.99%. The French CAC 40 index fell by 0.03%, the Spanish IBEX index fell by 0.99%, the UK FTSE 100 index rose by 0.05%, and the German DAX index fell by 0.78%.
