Meituan will build "rider apartments" across the country, providing housing subsidies for riders.

Meituan announced that from now on, Meituan will establish "rider apartments" in various parts of the country, and riders with housing needs can apply to live in the relevant apartments. Meituan will provide rental subsidies for riders to ensure that the actual monthly rent is always lower than the market level. Taking the rider apartments near the Temple of Heaven in Beijing as an example, Meituan riders can rent a single room apartment for 700 yuan per month, while the monthly rent for similar apartments in the same area is around 1500 yuan or more. All rider apartments will be equipped with environmentally friendly decoration, home appliances, and internet networks, and will be provided with cleaning, maintenance, and other services by a dedicated team to ensure that riders can move in with their bags. Recently, the first batch of 600 riders will gradually move into apartments in Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chongqing.
