The First Plenary Meeting of the Sixth Chinese Financial Union Committee was held in Beijing.

The first plenary session of the Sixth National Committee of the China Banking and Financial Union was held in Beijing on November 21. The meeting reviewed and summarized the achievements of the banking and financial union work in the financial system since the Fifth National Committee, and made arrangements for further improving the work of the banking and financial union during the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period. Xu Liuping, Secretary of the Party Group, Vice Chairman, and First Secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and Li Yunze, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 200 members of the 38 China Banking and Financial Union member units and representatives of 32 provincial-level financial industry unions attended the conference. Xu Liuping fully affirmed the achievements of the China Banking and Financial Union since its first plenary session of the Fifth Committee. He pointed out that the financial system unions at all levels have closely focused on the "five major tasks" in the financial sector, and have achieved significant results in ideological and political leadership, achievements and services, rights protection, self-reform and construction, and Party building, thus making active contributions to promoting the high-quality development of finance. Xu Liuping emphasized that the financial system unions at all levels should integrate the learning and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the Twentieth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with the important expositions on the working class and trade union work by General Secretary Xi Jinping, truly putting learning into practice, and implementing the spirit of the Executive Committee meeting of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the "559" work deployment, uniting and mobilizing the broad masses of workers to make new and greater contributions to the construction of a financially strong nation. The meeting elected the new leadership members of the China Banking and Financial Union for the sixth National Committee, with Yang Yudong, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, being elected as the Chairman of the Sixth National Committee of the China Banking and Financial Union. Tao Ling, Zhou Liang, Chen Huaping, and Yan Qiangwei were elected as Vice Chairpersons, Kang Huaping was elected as the Executive Vice Chairman, and Zhang Rui, Li Lidong, and Tang Jing were elected as Vice Chairpersons.
