The Indian Air Force has established an investigation committee to look into the cause of the crash of the "Tejas" fighter jet at the Dubai Airshow today. According to reporters on site, after the "Tejas" fighter jet crashed, the Russian "Warriors" and the UAE "Knights" flight demonstration teams continued their performances, but the remaining 10 flight demonstrations were canceled. The "Tejas" fighter jet, also known as LCA, is an abbreviation for LIGHT COMBAT AIRCRAFT. The "Tejas" fighter jet was jointly developed by the Indian Aeronautics Development Agency and the Indian Aeronautical Development Agency aircraft research and design center. It is a single-seat, single-engine, all-weather supersonic third-generation fighter jet developed for the Indian Air Force and is highly anticipated by the Indian government and military. The "Tejas" fighter jet officially entered service in July 2016, 33 years after the Indian government approved its development in 1983. On March 12, 2024, an "Tejas" fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed. This was the first crash incident since the "Tejas" fighter jet entered service. The accident at the Dubai Airshow today was the second crash of an Indian Tejas fighter jet.
