Mainland semiconductor material technology start-ups are expanding their businesses with Hong Kong as their headquarters.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Investment Promotion Agency announced on the 21st that mainland Great Datong Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. has officially established its presence in Hong Kong, with Hong Kong as its headquarters. The company aims to efficiently integrate mainland manufacturing capacity, Hong Kong international capital, and overseas cutting-edge technology, forming a synergistic model of "research and development in Hong Kong, pilot testing in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, and global market presence." Assistant Director of the Investment Promotion Agency, Li Shujing, welcomed Great Datong Semiconductor's official establishment in Hong Kong. She stated that with Hong Kong as its base, Great Datong Semiconductor's expansion into overseas markets marks an important step, showcasing Hong Kong's increasingly important role as a hub for innovation and international commerce.
