The Chinese Embassy in South Africa held a launch ceremony on the 20th to support the AIDS prevention and treatment project in South Africa. Under this project, the UNAIDS will carry out AIDS prevention work for young people and drug users in South Africa with the support of the Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund. This project is the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Chinese National International Development Cooperation Agency and the UNAIDS in July 2024, which will expand the coverage of AIDS prevention services in South Africa, focusing on key groups such as adolescents and injection drug users.
