Private placement holds nearly 3 billion shares of ETFs with a preference for science and technology innovation board theme ETFs.
Private equity is becoming an important holder of ETFs. According to data from Private Placement Network, a total of 154 private equity firms have entered the top ten holders list of 190 ETFs listed this year, with a total holding of 2.929 billion shares. Subjective private equity is the main subscriber for ETFs, with 76 subjective private equity firms holding 1.122 billion shares of ETFs listed this year, accounting for 38.31% of the total shares. Small and medium-sized private equity firms are more actively subscribing to ETFs, with private equity firms with less than 2 billion yuan in size accounting for nearly 79% of the total subscription to ETFs. In addition, science and technology board ETFs are highly sought after by private equity firms, with a total of 48 private equity firms entering the top ten holders list of ETFs with the words "science and technology board" in their names, with a total holding of 820 million shares.
