MIIT: Will work with relevant departments to develop and release implementation plans to promote the adaptability of supply and demand for consumer goods, and guide toy companies to use AI technology to create more new demands.
On November 19, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a press conference to introduce the revision of the mandatory national standards GB 6675 "Toy Safety". He Yaqiong, director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the next step is for the Ministry to strengthen cooperation with relevant departments to promote the high-quality development of the AI toy industry. Firstly, efforts will be made in policy protection, with the relevant departments jointly formulating and issuing implementation plans to promote the matching of supply and demand for consumer goods, guiding toy companies to use AI technology to create more new demands. AI toys will stimulate children's creativity, provide personalized companionship, and guide children's learning and growth through interaction. Secondly, efforts will be made to promote product innovation. Encourage toy companies and AI technology companies to collaborate, integrating market demand insights and the advantages of integrating and applying new technologies, incorporating more excellent traditional culture into toys, creating more AI toy bestsellers, leading consumer trends, and allowing children to immerse themselves in AI technology and Chinese culture. Thirdly, efforts will be made to standardize industry development. In response to consumer concerns about AI toy data security, network security, and other issues, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen research and analysis with relevant departments, guide toy companies to enhance technical protection, and timely research and formulate related standards to effectively guarantee the quality and safety of AI toys and data privacy security.
