At the 8th China International Solar Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Industry Conference in 2025, the first Photovoltaic CTO Summit and Technology Innovation Conference, Jiang Hua, Deputy Secretary General of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, stated that the solar industry has been struggling in the first half of this year. However, in the third quarter, it can be summed up in two words: warming up. Jiang Hua explained that from the manufacturing side, the production of polycrystalline silicon and silicon wafers is still decreasing, but the rate of decline has narrowed compared to the first half of the year. In terms of imports and exports, the export volume of silicon wafers and modules decreased in the first half of the year, but recovered growth in the first three quarters. He also mentioned that prices have risen in the third quarter, showing a significant increase compared to the beginning of the year. As for the application side, due to the rush for installation brought about by the policy, there was substantial growth in the first half of the year. However, after the rush period ended, there was a significant decrease in installation volume from June to September.
