Recently, European countries such as Norway, Denmark, and the United Kingdom have been hyping up the so-called "national security risk" posed by Chinese electric buses, claiming that electric buses made in China may be susceptible to "remote control". However, such ridiculous claims have been refuted by the Singaporean transportation department. According to a report from Singapore's Asia News Channel on November 17th, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore stated that the country has 20 electric buses manufactured by the Chinese company Yutong, and it has been confirmed that these vehicles cannot be remotely controlled. The Singaporean government has pledged to continue working closely with all bus suppliers and conduct necessary inspections. The Land Transport Authority of Singapore stated that the electric buses procured by the agency must comply with regulations set by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, which require manufacturers to establish processes for safety design, risk management, and software updates throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.
