On November 18, the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Ho Iat Seng, delivered the 2026 Policy Address at the Legislative Assembly, clearly stating that the overall direction of the SAR government next year is to deepen administrative reform, promote diversity, optimize livelihoods accurately, and integrate into the national development plan. Ho Iat Seng outlined the main policy goals for the SAR government in 2026, including the sustainable recovery of the economy, substantial progress in economic diversification, maintaining positive GDP growth, further improving the business environment, and enhancing economic vitality. Progress has been made in the construction of the Hengqin Cooperation Zone, and Macau-China integration has been further strengthened. Residents' job security is effectively assured, livelihoods are further optimized, and vulnerable groups are given practical care. Administrative and legal reforms are advancing, governance efficiency is further enhanced, national security is effectively safeguarded, and social harmony and stability are maintained at the macro level.
