Energy companies have fully opened the winter supply mode, with many locations reaching record highs in gas storage.

With the arrival of the new cold wave weather, the centralized heating in the northern regions of our country has officially begun, and the guarantee of energy supply has also entered a critical period of peak winter demand. Energy enterprises have fully opened their winter supply mode. China Petroleum has arranged for a 3.7% increase in the supply of natural gas resources for this winter and next spring heating season, accounting for about 60% of the total domestic supply. The stability and emergency capacity of the natural gas transmission network are directly related to the national energy security. The national pipeline network group centrally coordinates resources, strengthens equipment and facility safety maintenance, and enhances the emergency capacity of the pipeline network. Gas storage facilities are like "underground granaries" for natural gas. During the off-peak season, surplus natural gas is injected into underground spaces for storage, and is concentratedly extracted during the peak heating period in winter, serving as a "ballast" to ensure stable energy supply. Currently, domestic gas storage facilities have completed their annual gas injection tasks ahead of schedule, storing enough energy for people's heating needs.
