CNNC releases a new generation of nuclear power "digital brain" that deeply integrates digital twinning with artificial intelligence technologies.
Recently, the China General Nuclear Power Group released the independently developed "New Generation Intelligent Industrial Control System Product Set," covering 4 categories and 20 products, including new types of DCS entities, DCS virtual entities, new research and development tools and service platforms, promoting the evolution of nuclear power control from "automatic control type" single-point devices to "intelligent service type" open ecosystems. As a new nuclear power instrumentation and control product launched on the basis of the "Harmony System," this system deeply integrates digital twins and artificial intelligence technology, building a nuclear power "digital brain" with a full process loop of "perception-analysis-decision-execution," achieving 100% localization, and possessing multiple advanced intelligent functions such as fault warning, intelligent monitoring, and decision support, promoting the transformation of nuclear power plant operation to an intelligent mode of "safe, stable, and reducing manned guarding," signifying a leading breakthrough in the digitalization field of China's nuclear power instrumentation and control systems. The "Harmony System" is the first domestically developed nuclear-grade digital control system in China, since its release in 2010, it has been widely used in 33 nuclear power units including the "Hualong One" and the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, covering second, third, and fourth generation nuclear technology routes.
