On the 16th local time, the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq announced the official results of the new session of the National Assembly elections, with the "Reconstruction and Development Alliance" led by current Prime Minister Sudani winning the most seats. According to the Iraqi constitution, the party bloc with the majority of seats in the National Assembly has the right to nominate the Prime Minister and form the government. However, this "largest party bloc" can also be a new political coalition formed after the election results are announced, indicating that the political coalition led by Sudani may not necessarily maintain absolute dominance in the National Assembly. The formation of the new government still depends on the negotiation results of the various political coalitions in Iraq in the next phase.
