Former party member and deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, Xiang Ting, has been expelled from the party and removed from public office.

According to the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Chongqing Municipal Committee, the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has initiated a case review and investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Xiang Ting, a former member of the Party group and deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau. After investigation, it was found that Xiang Ting had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original intentions and mission, resisted organizational inspection, disregarded the spirit of the Central Committee's eight-point regulations, illegally accepted gifts, sought personal gain in cadre transfer work for others, accepted banquets and travel arrangements that may affect the impartial execution of official duties, intervened in and interfered with law enforcement activities, and used his position for personal gain in environmental protection projects, environmental qualification approvals, and environmental special subsidies, and illegally accepted huge sums of money. Xiang Ting seriously violated the party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and work discipline, constituted a serious duty-related violation of law and was suspected of bribery crimes. Furthermore, he has not restrained himself and continued his misconduct since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, with a serious nature and a bad influence, requiring strict handling. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China", "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Administrative Punishments of Public Servants of the People's Republic of China" etc., upon the research by the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Chongqing Municipal Committee, it is decided to expel Xiang Ting from the Party and remove him from public office, confiscate his illegally obtained gains, and transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution according to the law.
