China General Nuclear Power Corporation: Unit 1 of the Zhaoyuan Nuclear Power Plant will soon begin full-scale construction.

China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation announced that the first unit of its subsidiary, Shandong Zhaoyuan Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Zhaoyuan Unit 1, will have its nuclear reactor main building's first concrete pouring on November 18, 2025. On that day, the construction of Zhaoyuan Unit 1 will officially begin and enter the civil construction phase. Zhaoyuan Unit 1 will adopt the Hualong One nuclear power technology, with a single unit installed capacity of 1,214MW.
