CATL releases four zero-carbon achievements.
According to CATL, at the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference, CATL, together with the United Nations International Renewable Energy Agency and other authoritative institutions, jointly released four key zero-carbon achievements. CATL continues to promote the construction of "zero-carbon factories" by continuously increasing the proportion of green electricity through distributed photovoltaics and its own research and development of intelligent management systems for factories. By the end of 2024, the company had built nine zero-carbon battery factories, with the proportion of zero-carbon electricity reaching 75% and a 21% decrease in carbon emissions intensity per unit of product. At the same time, relying on the self-developed "Times Carbon Chain" system, the company has built a supply chain carbon footprint database, and plans to achieve 100% zero-carbon electricity from primary suppliers by 2030 and carbon neutrality throughout the entire value chain by 2035.
