On November 17, the data from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association showed that in October 2025, the national production of crude steel was 72 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.1%, with a daily output of 2.3226 million tons/day, a month-on-month decrease of 5.2%; the production of pig iron was 65.55 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%, with a daily output of 2.1145 million tons/day, a month-on-month decrease of 4%; the production of steel was 118.64 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%, with a daily output of 3.8271 million tons/day, a month-on-month decrease of 7.6%; from January to October, the cumulative production of crude steel in the country was 818 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.6904 million tons; the production of pig iron was 711 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.34 million tons; the production of steel was 1.218 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%, with a cumulative daily output of 4.0052 million tons. In October 2025, key statistical iron and steel enterprises in total produced 63.6916 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%, with a daily output of 2.0546 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.9%; produced 59.2767 million tons of pig iron, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%, with a daily output of 1.9122 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.8%; produced 66.1983 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%, with a daily output of 2.1354 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.2%. From January to October, key statistical iron and steel enterprises cumulatively produced 682 million tons of crude steel, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 1.8%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2444 million tons; produced 616 million tons of pig iron, a cumulative year-on-year decrease of 0.8%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.0262 million tons; produced 696 million tons of steel, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 1.3%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2887 million tons.
