On November 16, the controlling node project of the Yuchang Expressway double-line connection road completed the first steel truss beam lifting of the Huangjutuo Yangtze River Bridge, marking the official transition of the bridge to the upper structure assembly phase, laying a solid foundation for the mid-year main bridge closure in 2026. The Huangjutuo Yangtze River Bridge is 1260 meters long, with a main span of 765 meters. It is a single-span suspension double-tower three-span continuous steel truss cable-stayed bridge and is the world's largest-span dual-use public and rail suspension bridge under construction. The bridge is designed with a double-deck bridge deck, with the upper deck being a 6-lane inner ring expressway and the lower deck having a central reserved two-way track, with 4 lanes of urban main roads on each side. The first section of the steel truss beam in this construction is 36.5 meters wide, 22.5 meters long, and 14 meters high, with a lifting weight of 695 tons, equivalent to the total weight of 350 cars, making it the heaviest single-section steel truss beam among bridges currently under construction in the upstream Yangtze River area.
