The first domestic cross-border shipping route from Suzhou to Peru, the "Suzhou-Qiankai" sea route, has surpassed 50,000 tons of cargo.
Reporters learned from Nanjing Customs that since the opening of the Qiankai Port in Peru one year ago, the first domestic sea route to Peru's Qiankai Port, the "Suzhou-Qiankai" shipping route, has transported 52,000 tons of cross-border goods under customs supervision, with automobiles, engineering machinery, and grinding balls as the main commodities. The shipping time has been shortened from 35 days to 23 days. Suzhou has also opened a fixed route for the direct South American fast shipping line "Zhangjiagang Port-Qiankai Port". The "Suzhou-Qiankai" shipping route further facilitates trade under the "Belt and Road" initiative, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of regional foreign trade.
