Cook responds to the departure of Apple's second-in-command: "Without him, there would be no Apple as it is today."
Mark Gurman today released a tweet on the X platform, reporting that Apple's former Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams has officially retired. Apple CEO Tim Cook highly praised Williams, saying, "Without Jeff, Apple would not be what it is today." Cook emphasized that Williams not only helped Apple establish one of the most respected global supply chains, but also led the launch and development of the AppleWatch, as well as conceptualized the company's health strategy, leading the design team with great wisdom and passion. Cook stated that the most valuable legacy Williams left behind is the exceptional team he created.
