National industrial heritage total 264 items, including the rocket final assembly plant and other projects selected.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology awarded the seventh batch of national industrial heritage projects in Huangshi today, bringing the total number of national industrial heritage projects to 264. The seventh batch of national industrial heritage projects includes 32 projects such as the rocket assembly plant, the Jing Zhang Manufacturing Plant, and the Wuhan Jianmin Pharmaceutical Factory. While focusing on preserving historical value, these projects have also actively explored aspects such as deep integration of culture and tourism, creating cultural consumption scenarios, and revitalizing industrial functions. As of now, there are 264 nationally recognized industrial heritage projects and 496 provincially recognized industrial heritage projects. During the award ceremony, eight industrial archaeological achievements, such as the Dachang Copper Green Hill Sifangtang Site in Daye, Hubei, and the Sangzhe Guantian Site in Sangzhe, Hunan, were also promoted for the first time. Experts have pointed out that promoting innovation and development in the protection of industrial heritage requires the use of scientific and technological tools to improve the discovery and analysis capabilities of industrial archaeological work. At the same time, digital technology should be applied to heritage protection and cultural production, dissemination, consumption, and experience, in order to create new cultural products and consumption scenarios.
