China's support in building Sierra Leone's first cardiac intensive care unit officially launched.
The first cardiac intensive care unit in Sierra Leone, built with the assistance of China, was officially launched at the China-Sierra Leone Friendship Hospital in the capital city of Freetown on the 12th local time. It was reported that the cardiac intensive care unit is equipped with professional equipment such as cardiac monitoring, defibrillators, and ventilators, and operated by trained medical staff to provide centralized monitoring and efficient treatment for cardiovascular emergency patients, greatly improving the success rate of rescue and reducing mortality. The establishment of the cardiac intensive care unit is a phased achievement of the cooperative construction project between the two countries' sister hospitals.
