Venezuela shoots down an illegally invading aircraft.

The Venezuelan military announced on November 12th local time that during the "Independence 200" military exercise, they shot down a C-210 single-engine aircraft that was trying to illegally enter the country's airspace. The Venezuelan military stated that the action was carried out by air force fighter jets on patrol, effectively preventing unauthorized aircraft from invading. The military has destroyed 24 illegal aircraft attempting to enter Venezuelan airspace so far this year. The Venezuelan Ministry of Defense issued a statement on the 11th, saying that the Venezuelan military launched the "Independence 200" new phase exercise at 4 am that day to enhance military command, control, and communication capabilities, respond to external threats, and be fully prepared for combat.
