Over 70% of UK voters are pessimistic about the future of the country.
The latest opinion poll results released by the British "Financial City Morning Post" on November 11th show that 76% of British voters feel pessimistic about the country's future; about 59% of people expect the British economy to deteriorate; 48% of people expect their family finances to worsen; 53% of people expect their living standards to decline in the next year; only 19% of people believe that Britain is moving in the "right direction". According to this survey, the high cost of living has become the most pressing issue for British voters. A British think tank released a report earlier this month saying that Britain faces the risk of "over-borrowing", which could lead to "emergency fiscal and tax measures that no government would want to experience".
