The General Office of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued the "Outline for Comprehensive Promotion of Building a Beautiful Inner Mongolia as a Key Ecological Security Barrier in the Northern Part of China", proposing that by 2027, the diversity, stability, and sustainability of the ecosystem will be steadily improved, biodiversity will be effectively protected, the overall vegetation coverage of grassland will be stable at above 45%, and the forest coverage rate will reach 21.98%. The "Three-North" Engineering Battle and three key battles have achieved phase achievements, significant progress has been made in desert control and prevention with the land treatment rate of desertified land reaching over 54.33%, making the ecological security barrier more solid. The quality and scale of industries for green, low-carbon, and circular development have significantly improved, and energy resource allocation has become more efficient with a substantial increase in utilization efficiency, leading to a remarkable improvement in green and low-carbon levels. The ecological environment quality has significantly improved, and the average concentration of fine particulate matter in the region is stable at below 25 micrograms per cubic meter, the surface water environment quality has been consolidated and improved, the safe utilization rate of polluted arable land is maintained at above 98%, and effective protection is provided for the safe utilization of key construction land. A green lifestyle is widely promoted, the ecological environment infrastructure deficiencies are basically addressed, the proportion of completed beautiful rural counties reaches 40%, the public satisfaction with the ecological environment continues to increase, and the urban and rural living environment steadily improves.
