Jiangsu's first "brain-computer interface" ward makes debut in Nanjing.

Recently, the first brain-computer interface ward in Jiangsu province was unveiled at the Eastern Theater General Hospital. During the construction of the ward, the hospital successfully completed the first clinical research surgery on "semi-invasive brain-computer interface". Ma Chiyuan, the director of the neurosurgery department, stated that the primary target population currently is patients with high-level paraplegia caused by cervical spinal cord injury, and in the future it will also expand to patients with stroke, cerebral hemorrhage-induced hemiplegia, Parkinson's disease, and other groups.
